History and Purpose of Our Church
Berean Baptist Church is an independent Bible church. It was
organized August 2, 1925, by First Baptist Church of Hutchinson, Kansas.
The church was duly incorporated in November of 1959. The church is not affiliated with any denomination or convention. The church, believing in the Bible as the inspired Word of God, acknowledging Jesus Christ as its head, and adhering to all His teaching, declares as its purpose:
- To maintain regular services for public worship and to encourage systematic Bible study.
- To win people to the personal acceptance of Jesus Christ as Savior through the Gospel message, corporately and personally.
- To cooperate heartily, by prayer, gift, and service, in the missionary effort to establish the Kingdom of Christ.
- To train people for Christian service and for victorious Christian living.
We sing the hymns of the faith and teach the Bible
as the inspired, inerrant Word of God. We are concerned for the
spiritual welfare of people and believe that God answers prayer.
